A MEMOIR
In her poignant debut memoir, Tammie Lamphere-Alberti explores the transformative power of love, faith, and perseverance in the face of unexpected tragedy. Following the untimely death of her husband, an air ambulance pilot, Tammie embarks on a soul-stirring quest to the San Diego crash site to recover his missing wedding band—a platinum ring bearing the inscription “Te Amaré Siempre” (I Will Always Love You).
This deeply personal narrative weaves together themes of grief, seeking God, and the search for meaning amidst profound loss. Readers accompany Tammie as she navigates the complexities of single motherhood, widowhood, and her unwavering commitment to her faith. With the support of compassionate medical examiners and Border Patrol agents, Tammie’s journey to find closure on Otay Mountain, where her husband perished, becomes a testimony of when the impossible becomes the miraculous.
“The Inscription: Te Amaré Siempre” offers a compelling blend of personal reflection and navigating through loss, appealing to readers of Christian literature, romance, and aviation or military enthusiasts. Tammie’s honest and heartfelt prose invites readers to explore the delicate balance between grief and hope, illustrating how faith can illuminate even the darkest of paths.
An Albuquerque native, Tammie Lamphere-Alberti is a veteran bilingual teacher of 25 years. She is Nationally Board certified and holds a master’s degree in Language, Literacy and Sociocultural Studies from the University of New Mexico. In 2018, she was named a New Mexico Teacher of the Year finalist. Tammie’s passions are teaching and writing. Her first book is a memoir.
Tammie met her current husband, Russ, at a local Albuquerque coffee shop in the early morning hours while writing her first book. Russ, a significant part of her healing journey, is evidence that God does, in fact, restore the brokenhearted-widow’s ability to love again.
Tammie calls Albuquerque home, where her daughters, Marissa and Briana always remain nearby. Briana and her husband are expecting a baby in September, 2024. Soon Tammie will have a new title: Abuela!
